A 1-carat diamond can range from around $1,000 to $10,000, depending on a few things, including the 4Cs and whether it’s natural or lab-grown.
Marquise, pear, and emerald cuts tend to be the most affordable. They also typically appear larger for their carat weight, giving you the best value.
Lab-grown and mined diamonds are chemically and optically the same; you can’t tell the difference with the naked eye. Because mined diamonds are rarer and more labor-intensive, they have a higher price tag.
