About our workshop
The level of precision craftsmanship involved in polishing diamond to exacting standards requires unmatched skill.
With over four generations of diamond cutting experience, our master cutters have built polishing operations for the more precious diamonds at renown brands.
They scouted the world and built a workshop for VRAI in Xi’an, China, a city with 5,000 years of history, the starting point of the Silk Road and home to the Terracotta monument, the largest burial site in human history. Metal plating was invented there several thousand years before it was in Europe.
We pay top wages for quality craftsmanship in our diamond cutting workshop. Many team members have been with us for a decade and longer.

Our master cutters have four generations of diamond cutting history and also included the co-inventor of the Princess cut.
Artisan diamond cutting workshops
Our in-house artisans in our international workshops undergo extensive training for five years. We pay them top wages for quality craftsmanship, which is why many have been with us for over a decade.

About the Pear cut
The Pear cut diamond shape — also known as the teardrop or pendeloque cut — is unlike any other diamond shape. It features a modified brilliant cut and blends the Marquise and Oval cuts with one rounded end and a point on the other. Its signature silhouette is instantly recognised, much beloved, and undeniably romantic.
